Week 4: A Life That's Good

‘A Life That’s Good’ is a song that we are, again, in debt to Larry Skrant for. He suggested that we sing it on our first album ‘Trusting You’. As much as we loved recording it, we really enjoy singing ‘A Life That’s Good’ to a live audience. It is truly humbling to see people connect with the message of the song through smiles, nodding of heads, and the occasional wiping away of tears. The lyrics remind us of the many blessings from God that genuinely make a life that’s good.

“Every good and perfect gift is from above, coming down from the Father of the heavenly lights, who does not change like shifting shadows.” James 1:17

A Life That’s Good

Sittin' here tonight
By the fire light
It reminds me I already have
More than I should

I don't need fame
No one to know my name
At the end of the day, Lord I pray
I have a life that's good

Two arms around me
Heaven to ground me
And a family that always calls me home

Four wheels to get there
Enough love to share
And a sweet, sweet, sweet song

At the end of the day
Lord I pray
I have a life that's good

Sometimes I'm hard on me
When dreams don't come easy
I wanna look back and say
I did all that I could

Yeah at the end of the day
Lord I pray
I have a life that's good

Two arms around me
Heaven to ground me
And a family that always calls me home

Four wheels to get there
Enough love to share
And a sweet, sweet, sweet song

At the end of the day
Lord I pray
I have a life that's good

At the end of the day
Lord I pray
I have a life that's good
